NEW Ongar magazine being launched in November 2025.

It's the season, or very nearly, to start thinking about Christmas.
There are lots of Christmas events taking place, you can find out more about local events on the events page.

Ongar Christmas Lights and Festival
Sunday 30th November 2025
The Pleasance Car Park, 229 High St, Chipping Ongar, CM5 9AB
The annual switching on of the Christmas lights in Ongar High Street. It’s an event where thousands of Ongar residents come together to celebrate the switch on - and you're invited too.
Epping Christmas Market
Saturday 6th December
12 noon - 7pm
A large range of stalls..
Cottis Yard Car Park Maintenance Works
The Cottis Yard multi-storey car park, Epping will be closed on Sunday 16th November 2025, for essential maintenance works.
The car park will be closed from 9am to 3pm, while work to the fire alarm system is carried out.
