Unacceptable behaviour in Epping High Street

Following recent reports of a man, who is reported to be living at the Bell Hotel, Epping, recently being charged for acting in appropriately towards a teenager in Epping High Street on Tuesday afternoon and further incidents inluding  another teenager and a woman, Epping Forest District Council has repeated their call for the Home Office to close asylum seeker hotels, of which the Bell Hotel is one.

The council has:

  • Written directly to the Home Secretary
  • Held an urgent meeting with Home Office officials
  • Called upon local MPs to support its initiative
  • Raised a petition calling for a debate in the House of Commons
  • Prepared a motion to the next council meeting calling on all councillors to support demands for the immediate closure of the Bell and Phoenix asylum seeker hotels

NEW Get your magazines delivered by hand

We are this month celebrating 20 years since publishing the first North Weald Village Lfie Magazine. To celebrate this, we are now offering free hand delivery of both North Weald Village Life and Epping Town Life magazines to selected households.

Delivery will be on a first come, first-served basis, with a waiting list in place as we expand routes based on demand and availability.

We will gradually increase distribution in response to interest.

Magazines will still be available to collect from some of our regular local distribution points.

 

Opportunity to earn by being a distributor

We're now looking for local residents to help deliver North Weald Village Life and Epping Town Life magazines. Distributors will be paid a small fee for each magazine delivered and routes could vary each month.  It's a flexible, casual opportunity that can fit aroud your routine - perfect if you enjoy walking and wanting to support your local community.
