Here are some questions that we are frequently asked that may assist you.

1. How often are the magazines published?

The answer is every month, 12 times a year and it usually comes out during the first week of the month.

2. How do you distribute the magazines?

The magazines are distributed via collection from high volume shops and centres.  They are not mailed or delivered door to door.  This has always been the method of distribution.  We know that when people collect their copy of the magazine - it is because they want to read it.  Their is no wastage.  We know that every issue in every month is collected and read as we go back those outlets and check.  If for some reason the shop or centre has been quiet in footfall and there are some copies of the magazine left towards the middle of the month, we collect these and redistribute to shops and centres we know have already run out of their stocks.  This guarantees readership for both us and our advertisers.

3. What size is the magazine?

It is A4 size.  Not the small A5 size that many local magazines are.  We launched in A4 size and after 12 months we conducted some research with our readers to see if they would prefer the smaller size and it was unanimous that they preferred the A4 size.  It also provides our advertisers the opportunity of having a good size advertisement and our visuals can be a good size and impactful.

4. Do you help with design of advertising?

Yes I can draft and design artwork for advertisers if required.  There is no charge for this.  Sometimes small businesses contact us and have never advertised or have no idea of what to include or how to start.  We work closely with these advertisers and find out about their business, the type of customers and what they would like to promote, we can then design some different drafts of advertisements for them to comment, choose and amend.

5. What is the deadline for booking advertising or sending editorial, news or events.

To keep it simple, the deadline that needs to remembered every month is the 20th of the month.  Sometimes we can accept adverts or editorial after this deadline but there is no guarantee this can be accommodated.

6. Do you have to book for more than one month at a time?

No, you can book for just one month if you wish, there is no minimum commitment.

7. Do you offer discounts?

Yes.  We offer discounts for multiple bookings ie., booking for 6 months or more, and also discounts for booking in both magazines.

We also offer discounts for charities and not for profit organisations.

8.  If I am an advertisers - do I receive a copy of the magazine?

Yes every advertiser is sent a copy of the magazine including their advert.

9. I can't get a copy - supplies have always run out - can I subscribe?

Yes you can. You can subscribe for £19.99 for six months or £30.00 for twelve months and this will ensure your own copy is sent to you every month.
