Three magazines.  Three communities.  Genuinely local.

Essex Publications publishes three monthly community magazines across the Epping Forest area - North Weald Village Life, Epping Town Life and Ongar Local Life.

Each magazine is created specifically for the community it serves, combining local news, events, community information and features with advertising from local businesses.

With a minimum of 50% local editorial in every issue, our magazines are designed to be picked up, read and kept throughout the month.

North Weald Village Life magazine

Serving North Weald, Thornwood & Hastingwood since 2005

Ongar Local Life

Serving the community since 2025 in Chipping Ongar, High Ongar, Fyfield, Shelley and the surrounding area.

This is our newest magazine, again launched due to demand from residents in Ongar the surrounding area.

Genuinely Local - Our magazines are created to be part of the communities they serve.  Every issue contains a minimum of 50% local editorial, including community news, events, local organisations, charities, people and stories.

We don't fill our pages with generic content that could appear in any magazine.  Our aim is to produce publications that local people recognise as their own - useful, relevant and worth picking up and keeping throughout the month.

Supporing local businesses - Local businesses are an important part of our communities too.  Our magazines give businesses an opportunity to reach people living locally, alongside the community content our readers pick up the magazines for.

Advertisers can choose to appear in one community or across all three, depending on the areas they want to reach..
