About Essex Publications

In August 2005, I founded and launched a new local magazine called North Weald Village Life magazine.

WHY DID I LAUNCH A LOCAL MAGAZINE

Why did I launch this? It is quite simply because I wanted to be part of the community.  I wanted to attend the local events with my children and support local businesses.  However, I couldn't find any information on local events ie., North Weald, Ongar or Epping based activities.

So I decided to trail a new magazine and I havn't looked back since.  I still have my very first advertiser still advertising in the magazines.

My background is in corporate marketing, I am a qualified marketing professional and have worked with businesses of all sizes, including not for profit businesses.

NEW MAGAZINE LAUNCHED?

North Weald Village Life has been successfully growing over the last 17 years.  During the last 18 months I have been inundated with requests from Epping (and other areas ) for a local magazine similar to North Weald Village Life, so after conducting some local research, In March this year I launched a new Epping magazine - Epping Town Life.

WHO IS ESSEX PUBLICATATIONS?

I launched Essex Publications in February 2023.  As the Editor, owner and publisher of two local magazines, I decided a needed one umbrella company to promote, focus and grow both magazines.
